BIG Wholesale Landscape Supply, Inc. was started with the withdrawl of a major hardscape supplier from the Metro West area.
A short history:
My name is Peter Colgan and I have spent more than twenty years selling and sourcing building materials for contractors, dealers, engineers, builders and architects throughout New England.
The majority of this time was spent with Waldo Bros. Co. in Boston, a 137 year old distributor of specialty
products to the commercial construction industry, specializing in site, concrete, masonry, thermal / moisture protection and restoration materials. I gained knowledge in sales, distribution, inventory, procurement and management that has enabled me to have the confidence to start my own business.
Since leaving Waldo Bros. Co. I spent two years with a dealer/distributor/installer of concrete pavers and retaining walls as a department manager. This was a great experience and hooked me on the industry.
I then spent one year with a dealer that carried a full line of hardscape products. This was a learning experience and exposed me to all aspects of the hardscape industry and it’s potential
